本日９月１０日はカヌー研修のためツアーは受けず、洞爺から車で約１時間の「千歳川」に一日行ってきました。
湖でいつもカヌーをしている我々はあまり川を下るということがありませんのでとてもいい刺激になり、とても楽しかったです。
夏が終わり、ツアーもひと段落。たまにはいつもと違うフィールドに出ていろいろな物を見て感じ、技術・知識の向上も必要だなと感じる一日になりました。(ま)

Here we have such a variety of beautiful scenes at lake Toya.

Large view from atop of a hill perhaps makes you have a deeeep breath.
You may wonder how far you are really able to see in this picture.
Maybe around 12km? or even more?

(by the way, this lake has an area of 70 sq. km.
It is almost as large as the inner circle of
Yamanote-line in Tokyo, that millions of people work everyday.)
Look how wide the area is, when seen without buildings and cars!!

When you come closer to the lake,
You can find some roads that are literally "covered by trees".
I call here "the green tunnel".
This portion of road always makes me smile when I drive by.
